About this Blog

You'll actually notice that this blog is made up of 7 different blogs. These being Figures, Japanese University Studies, Anime, Gaming, Music. All of these will mainly feature posts about the Japanese side of these topics, although sometimes I'll make some non Japanese related posts. I'll also be making posts about my time at Supanova. I'll usually attend both the Gold Coast and Brisbane Supanova events each year.

The different sections
Home - Here is where I'll be uploading news related to the different sections here. I'll be posting links to                     all the posts from the other sections here as well.
  1. Figures – I'll mainly be posting reviews, sometimes in depth, sometimes briefly but almost always with a fair amount of photos of both the figure and the box from all different angles.
  2. Japanese University Studies – I'll posting my goings on of studying Japanese at Uni and also some useful information on the grammatical side of the language.
  3. Anime – Here I'll be posting reviews of anime, box sets, DVDs, Blu Rays etc and also anime news like upcoming movies and series.
  4. Gaming – I'll be posting game reviews, news, hardware related posts etc. I've considering doing some Lets Plays or even just Play Throughs of games and uploading them to YouTube.
  5. Music – Here I'll be posting reviews of music, posts about CDs I acquire and music related news. While they'll mainly be Japanese musicians I'll be making some Jay Chou posts as well.
    6. Conventions - I'll be uploading posts about my adventures at Japanese related conventions. This will probably just consist of Supanova on the Gold Coast and at Brisbane. If I ever go to Japan or somewhere else I'll be sure to attend one of theirs'.
About me

Well I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Rob living in the state of Queensland, Australia. I've been into anime from about 2004 now when my brother started buying the DVDs. The first animes I ever watched were Gundam Seed and Chrono Crusade which I am still am fan of both to this day. I spent the next few years watching my brothers collection grow, more and more DVDs and figures were coming into the house. Unfortunately I was too young to have a job at this time and didn't end up getting a job until a few years after the minimum age so I missed out on a lot of releases of DVDs and figures over the years, particularly the collectors boxsets released by Madman Entertainment.

In the last couple of years I've had a job and have been buying a lot of anime merchandise from anime DVDs, figures, music to video games. I've found that a lot of the collectors boxsets have come up on eBay which has been quite a relief as they've been out of production for several years now. I've also found myself trying to catch up on figures which are no longer produced. I'll probably make some posts soon including pictures of my collection which hopefully you'll enjoy.

Please don't hesitate to comment on any posts and share them on Facebook, Twitter etc. I enjoy discussions on anime, video games, music, figures etc so please email or comment with any questions or things you might have to say. I'll be more than happy to reply. :) I've been a little slack in the past but now I'll make sure I get back to you soon. :D

It's not my main email address because I don't want spam going there but don't worry, I check this email frequently. And no, I'm not that big a fan of the Call of Duty series, I made that email years back when I had just finished the first one and was quite excited about it.
